Abstract
AMI (means “friend” in French and “trustworthy” in Hebrew) is 1st prize winner at Techfest2017- an annual event for tech startups in Vietnam by Ministry of Science and Technology. They optimize the entire process by combining software, IoT hardware and artificial intelligence to provide smart energy, smart city and smart safety. It helps to reduce headcount, cost and give better experiences and services to tenants. 
AMI is solving the problems of real estate management like buildings, apartments for rent. Since current situations in the market is that information is not transparent, professional management, and too much data archiving on paper. There is no formatting model in recent digitization and new technology applications on how to create employees to test and ensure quality of life and security. The business model is currently the first in the market with the strength of combine both hardware and software strength in IoT and Artificial Intelligence. The project already passed product-market fit and is working on the left-hand-side of the business model canvas. Partnership with big corporates will enable them to scale the products and make further applications.
AMI’s business model is B2B where it focuses on serving landlord or real-estate business and city-level of energy use. First launched in 2016, after 1 year, the current status of the project is already clear in terms of revenue model and early adopters. Although it might be hard to change the mindset of the market, the product has potential of regional scalability. Big corporates and local governmental authorities have already worked with the company in scaling up the project.

AMI's Business model: Conventionally, smart cities business model approach the market first through customer segments from which the value proposition is created. Afterwards, the business value is described as utilizing key resources from the government sector, the firm sector and the university. The other canvas elements are optimized to run business model, such as key partner, key activities, channels, cost structure,
revenue structure. This approach is widely considered as most appropriate for BMC in smart-cities. As this paper also follows Diaz’s direction of focusing on the value proposition of smart city, smart energy, the business model of the case is analyzed with the approach from value proposition for each customer in the multi-sided business model to generalize the impact to smart city.

Abstract:

ezCloud develops their products, solutions offering a total solution for hotel management to replace conventional hotel management with a  comprehensive automation solution that uses electronic devices. The project aims to build a complete integrated solution for hotel management including hotel software (checkin, checkout, ...), integrated booking, online booking, management. ezCloud also offers solutions to help hotels expand and increase efficiency in the hotel business. The business model of integrated all-in-one from operation management to sales, marketing
management is innovative and has not yet been developed in Vietnam. The company has the potentials to expand to countries in the region.
The business model is quite distinct in the context of early development of Internet of things in Vietnam, especially its application in hospitality industry. As one of the pioneers of applying this technology integrated in property management systems, the company is able to capture the
advantages of rapid development in this industry in Vietnam and aims to broaden is presence as well as customer base to other countries and territories. The paper first take a look at market analysis in Hospitality sectors, especially in Hotel management in Vietnam; The paper presents the literature review on Internet of Things (IoTs), Big Data, IoTs in Operation/ Supply-chain Management, IoTs in Hotel Management. The paper also visualizes the Business Model Canvas for two applications in Hotel management: (1) ezCloudhotel and ezFolio, in which the fundamental indicators have been analyzed. The paper then makes a discussion on SWOT analysis in leveraging these applications in Hotel Management  The paper finally proposes recommendations for future research and top leader in Hotel sector. 

• The report points out the current situation of widely-used Internet of things application in operation and supply chain management, especially in the hospitality industry. • In the early phase of IoT application in hospitality and management industry in Vietnam, ezCloud has an advantage of being a pioneer in integrating modern technologies in a property management system 

• The paper has constructed the BMCs for 2 product lines of ezCloud, included: (1) ezFolio for 3 - 5 star hotel management, ezCloud hotel for 0 - 2 star hotel management. 

• The paper has built detail BMC for two software designed for hotel management in which cost structure and  revenue streams are estimated. • Significant growth of hospitality market in Vietnam as well as ASEAN and Asian regions. • Increasing popularity of e-tourism • Very few players in the segment of 0 - 2 star hotels • Emergence and rapid development of big local corporations in hospitality such as Vingroup, FLC, Muong Thanh, etc. • Investors and partners in the field of tourism and IoT applications in travel will find good opportunities from investing and partnering with EzCloud • EzCloud can also partner with companies in IoT to provide this solution in the market to increase the opportunity to extend more value added services to existing clients.
