KisStartup Congratulates Wesolife and Award-Winning Teams at the 2024 Ba Ria-Vung Tau Fisheries Innovation Competition!
KisStartup is proud to announce the impressive achievements of Wesolife, which won the "Best Idea Award" for the project WIoT - Intelligent Monitoring, Perfect Control and the "Best Solution Award" for OxyBoost – Bringing Oxygen to Every Drop of Water. Wesolife’s achievements are a testament to their exceptional efforts in advancing cutting-edge technology for Vietnam's fisheries sector.
We are also pleased to introduce three outstanding teams who have won Incubation Awards worth USD 3,000 each from KisStartup:
- Process for producing seaweed and chitosan from crabs - a project contributing to the sustainable use of aquatic resources in Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
- Ultra-light bricks made from plastic waste and rice husks - an initiative from Kien Giang to protect marine ecosystems.
- Transforming seashell waste into décor products - a creative project converting waste into unique, eco-friendly decorations.
The incubation award-winning teams will work closely with KisStartup and Impact City over three months to develop and enhance their ideas and solutions. This competition marks an essential step in KisStartup’s commitment to promoting innovative solutions for Vietnam's blue economy.
The Ba Ria-Vung Tau Fisheries Innovation Competition is the only competition dedicated to innovation in the fisheries sector in Vietnam and is the longest-running of its kind in the ASEAN region. Organized annually since 2020, the competition is held by the Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria-Vung Tau in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of BR-VT, and related organizations with the goal of enhancing value and addressing key challenges in the fisheries industry.
The competition is open to individuals, organizations, and businesses with technology and innovative solutions applicable to the fisheries field across the country, while also welcoming unlimited entries from both domestic and international participants.
