Workshop: Leveraging Indigenous Cultural Resources to Enhance the Value of Tourism Services in Digital Transformation

Indigenous Resources: Not just materials or products, but a collection of beautiful aspects of lifestyle, customs, and the spiritual values of the community. For example, stories about the traditional patterns of the H'mong people, the love duet songs of the Thai people, or the story behind the "Gầu Tào" festival can become distinctive highlights, offering an unforgettable attraction to tourists.

Today, travelers are not only seeking new adventures but also desire to "live" and deeply understand the cultural life, customs, and stories of local communities. Through our collaboration with businesses in Lao Cai and Son La, we have observed that these precious values are still not fully utilized to create products for tourism and agriculture that can contribute to economic development.

This workshop is part of the IDAP project – "Enhancing an Inclusive Digital Transformation Ecosystem for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)." The workshop not only provides practical methods for businesses to develop products but also helps indigenous communities recognize the value of the cultural resources they hold. It is a journey to preserve and celebrate identities while creating sustainable economic value.

Workshop's Main Content:

  • Integrating indigenous culture into products: Exploit elements such as patterns, music, festivals, and local stories to differentiate and enhance the value of tourism and agricultural products.
  • Building a product story: Help businesses create meaningful stories based on local cultural resources, leaving a strong impression and emotional connection with customers.
