“Students with Startup Ideas” Competition

DORMLAB – Nurturing Entrepreneurship | Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU)

The “Students with Startup Ideas” Competition is a flagship activity of the DormLab – Nurturing Entrepreneurship Program, organized by CSS – Center for Student Support, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). The competition aims to foster an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem among VNU students.

As a strategic knowledge partner, KisStartup co-designs and delivers mentoring, coaching, and networking activities to support students in:

  • Developing a structured entrepreneurial mindset
  • Validating startup ideas based on real market needs
  • Enhancing skills in pitching, business model design, and presenting to expert panels

The competition focuses on startup ideas, solutions, and innovative products for community impact and sustainable development, encouraging students to apply technology, innovate business models, and create positive social impact.

Competition Journey

  • Round 1 – Idea Exploration: Submission of startup ideas and application dossiers
  • Round 2 – Training & Mentorship: Intensive training and coaching with experts from DormLab and KisStartup
  • Round 3 – Final Pitch: Pitching and Q&A sessions before a jury of representatives from CSS, enterprises, and startup experts

CSS is a member of EduDX – the School–Enterprise Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Commercialization Network, initiated and developed by KisStartup. Through DormLab, KisStartup continues to affirm its mission of partnering with universities to build entrepreneurship and innovation capabilities, while connecting students with the business world.
