As stated in The Landscape For Impact Investing in Southeast Asia Report (2018) by GIIN, impact investing in Vietnam significantly increased as Vietnam witnessed 23 deals worth more than USD 25 million by private impact investors and 50 deals worth USD 1.4 billion by development finance institutions during 2007 - 2017. According to GIIN, impact investment experienced a relatively slow pace. One of the reasons lies in the lack of awareness of impact investing and potential impact startups [1].
