5 Minutes a Day: Startup Book – Crush It! – Part 2: Enjoying the Journey
If Part 1 helped you understand the role of personal branding and content creation, then in Part 2, we explore how to leverage platforms to share your message with the world.
Clearly, the end goal isn’t just to make money—but to create, to be recognized, and to bring your value to those who truly need it.
That said, not everyone is naturally good at writing. So where should you begin?
The truth is, you don’t have to be a skilled writer to start. All you need is to practice expressing your thoughts honestly—your writing will improve day by day.
“Enjoy the ride.”

Choose Your Platform
Gary Vaynerchuk has a deep love for Twitter and recommends reading his “50 Ideas on Using Twitter for Business.”
He believes that when someone retweets you, they’re essentially telling the world that you’re worth paying attention to.
Authenticity
Vaynerchuk emphasizes three core values for anyone building a personal brand online and offline:
Authenticity – Every decision you make and every post you publish should reflect who you really are and what your business stands for.
Hard Work – Outworking others is often what sets you apart and gets you to the top.
Patience – This takes time. Success doesn’t happen overnight.
“Think of starting a business as a marathon, not a sprint. You have to love what you’re doing—it’s the only way you’ll keep going. And even if you fail, you’ll never regret doing something you love.”
Build a Community
A big part of “realness” is building a community that supports you. But this takes time and effort.
Vaynerchuk offers some tips for community building:
Leave comments on other people’s blogs
Reply to those who engage with you
Keep conversations going
Share and connect content whenever possible
Engage in meaningful dialogue
Create quality, interconnected content
It’s Not Just About Money
Follow your passion—not the paycheck. This is a long game. Ask yourself: If this eventually makes me money, will I be proud of how I earned it?
Don’t rush big decisions. Take your time. Always consider the bigger picture.
